Hope Against Cancer Scottish Cycle Ride on the road to raise £30,000
19th May 2010
On the 9th May 2010 eighteen cyclists of mixed ability and age started a grueling 350 cycle ride covering a large part of the West Coast of Scotland. Most of the cyclists taking part had experienced cancer first hand either through the loss of a love one, battling the disease themselves or even researching for more effective treatments.
Through determination, blisters and muscle fatigue they raised an amazing £30,000 for Hope Against Cancer.
“We are very grateful to all those who took part. Some of the route is extremely challenging and will have required quite a bit of endurance and it is great that the funds raised recognize the level of commitment.” Said Wendi Stevens, Hope Co-ordinator
